Your Critical Responsibilities Include:
- Transition of Care Coordination: Managing discharge paperwork, scheduling critical follow-up appointments with external specialists and PCPs, and ensuring smooth patient hand-offs.
- Provider Support: Managing fluid provider schedules, transcribing medical documentation, and coordinating urgent internal communications with hospital case management.
- Financial Accuracy: Processing necessary ICD-10 and CPT coding for hospitalist billing and maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
- Data Management: Utilizing and maintaining high proficiency with EHR systems (Electronic Health Records).
- Proven administrative experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.
- strong knowledge of medical terminology and acute care workflows.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing clinical priorities.

Responsibilities
Greeting visitors at front desk
Making Weekly stops at South Coast admin office, post office, and our St. Joseph’s hospitalists location
Answering the phone and emails
Scheduling shifts and updating the On-call calendars for the hospitalists
Organizing monthly physician meetings
Setting up physician candidate interviews
Checking faxes and reviewing mail, and composing documents and files
Processing invoices and payment forms
Handling and Dispersing Death Certificates
Data entry, Operating computer software and office equipment
Maintaining supplies and appearance for the office
