The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive Contract Procurement and Inventory Specialist to manage both the purchasing lifecycle and physical material flow. This is a vital, hands-on role for a candidate who can manage multiple tasks and projects while adapting quickly to unexpected requests and changing production priorities. Desired Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems and proven ability to apply procurement strategies.
- Knowledge of part number control and maintaining product integrity.
- computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- analytical skills with the ability to solve practical problems where limited standardization may exist.

Responsibilities
Key Functions and Responsibilities
Procurement & Supply Chain Management
- Execute purchase order (PO) placement and actively manage associated delivery dates to support the production schedule.
- Manage change orders and scope evolution systematically to ensure seamless updates with suppliers.
- Utilize Materials Resource Planning (MRP) and the production schedule to determine and order necessary raw materials and parts.
- Monitor open purchase orders and expedite deliveries when necessary to prevent manufacturing delays.
- Problem-solve general operational issues related to product delivery, shipment, and supply chain continuity.
Inventory & Material Management
- Responsible for the physical receiving and entry of inventory into the ERP system (requires physically answering the door and moving packages).
- Maintain the integrity of the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system by accurately entering and updating data.
- Facilitate cycle counts, reconcile floor stock inventory, and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Adjust stock levels to minimize inventory of components, finished goods, and work-in-process (WIP) while ensuring all production commitments are met.
- Maintain accuracy of material locations and counts; control material movement within the facility.
