Join our Houston team has a key Temporary Procurement Specialist/Buyer role. You will manage the full cycle of day-to-day purchasing activities, focusing on cost-saving strategies, vendor relations, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations. This role requires strong negotiation skills and adherence to ethical sourcing standards. This position will be 100% in office.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Purchasing: Execute all daily buying activities for North America based on station requests. Issue and expedite Purchase Orders (POs) to maintain material flow.
  
  
• Supplier Management: Evaluate, qualify, select, and onboard new suppliers. Manage existing vendor profiles, addressing quality, delivery, and customer service issues.
  
  
• Negotiation & Cost Control: Negotiate pricing, delivery lead-times, and credit terms. Calculate and draft Requests for Quote (RFQs), monitor pricing, audit invoices for accuracy, and achieve cost reduction goals.
  
  
• Contract Management: Support the legal team by guaranteeing smooth negotiation and final signature for supplier contracts.
  
  
• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, and performance. Generate various monthly reports and commission estimates.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, or a related field required.
  
  
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of related purchasing/procurement experience required.
  
  
• Skills: Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management. strong knowledge of cost control best practices and accounts payable processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  
  
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication, strong organizational ability, and high ethical standards.
