You will be responsible for sourcing all raw materials and implementing procurement strategies to support their Production, Customer Service, and R&D teams.
Key Focus Areas:
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead initiatives to evaluate, onboard, and negotiate contracts for specialty ingredients/chemicals.
- MRP/Inventory: Oversee the MRP process, analyze inventory, and issue POs for timely delivery.
- Risk Mitigation: Monitor market trends and supplier performance to hedge against supply chain issues.
- Collaboration: Partner with Finance and Senior Leadership to align sourcing with business objectives and cost savings.
Note: This role is 100% onsite for the first 90-120 days, with hybrid arrangements open for discussion thereafter.

Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline
purchasing activities
2. Procurement process includes overseeing the MRP process, analyzing and forecasting inventory
requirements to maintain optimal stock levels, issuing POs and ensuring timely and cost-effective
delivery of all input materials
3. Manage supplier relationships, including evaluating performance (price competitiveness),
addressing issues, and ensuring compliance with Company standards
4. Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance to adjust procurement
strategies to hedge against potential supply chain issues and mitigate impact to the business
5. Lead strategic sourcing initiative to identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, fostering
competition and enhancing supplier performance
6. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible value while
maintaining quality standards
7. Collaborate with other departments to (Operations, Finance, R&D) to develop a demand planning
model to execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on quality and
cost savings
8. Utilize data analytics to track procurement performance, supplier metrics, and prepare reports on
cost savings and sourcing outcomes for management
9. Working with Montreal personnel to create SOP’s around best practices while leveraging our
combined scale with manufacturers to assure optimal pricing and terms
