Responsibilities
The HR Specialist serves as a technical subject matter expert providing high-level administrative support in Workforce Administration (WFA), payroll, and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Resolve high-volume HR and benefits inquiries through ServiceNow, ensuring "world-class" customer service and diplomatic communication.
- Data Integrity: Manage and audit employee records using PeopleSoft, Visual Vault, and HR Web applications with impeccable attention to detail.
- Policy Interpretation: Apply a working knowledge of UC personnel and payroll policies to ensure all transactions comply with University regulations.
- Technical Writing: Create and update internal documentation, manuals, and employee communications that simplify complex HR concepts.
- Workforce Administration: Execute sensitive HR transactions, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding employee data and personal information.
This is a fast-paced, high-interrupt environment that requires "grace under pressure." You will be expected to pivot between deep-focus data entry and immediate customer service needs while meeting strict payroll and administrative deadlines.
