Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle General Ledger Management: Own the entire accounting cycle, ensuring all transactions are accurately coded and comply with GAAP.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Independently generate and analyze P&L statements, Balance Sheets, and monthly reports for management or board review.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the closing process by preparing adjusting journal entries, accruals, and deferrals to ensure the integrity of account balances.
- Complex Reconciliations: Perform deep-dive reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, corporate credit cards, and balance sheet accounts to resolve discrepancies.
- Audit Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, providing high-level documentation and explaining financial variances and accounting treatments.
- Financial Analysis and Forecasting: Monitor account receivables, identify operational inefficiencies, and assist with forecast reporting and budget tracking.
- Tax Compliance Oversight: Manage the preparation of 1099s, sales/use tax filings, and county-specific tax reporting to ensure state and federal compliance.
- Operational Accounting Oversight: Oversee the full cycle of Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely billing, vendor contract management, and cash flow optimization.
- Payroll and HR Administration: Manage complex payroll processing, including timekeeping integration, tax reconciliations, and employee benefit tracking.
