Randstad is seeking a meticulous Payroll Specialist to support the US-based operations of a leading global mining organization. This role is responsible for the end-to-end execution of domestic payroll, ensuring that all employees across various US sites are paid accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in US taxation and complex payroll adjustments.

salary: $27 - $30 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES                    

• Payroll Uploads and entry for all US and Canadian Sites, Bonus amounts, employee retro adjustments, Wellness ER, Chamber Checks/Gift Cards, GESP Distributions/Dividends.
• Assist with Payroll Process and checklist
• Element Entry for one‐off adjustments
• Validate uploads and one‐off adjustments
• Set up inclusion/exclusion lists
• Review Payment Method report
• Garnishments set up and review
• HSA/Wellness ER totals spreadsheet to be sent to Benefits
• Employment Verifications for payroll information
• Assist with Administrative/Data Entry
• Assist with creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Assist Accounting with per pay period Costing balances
• Handling of employee terminations to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Complete Payroll portion of Verification of Employment (VOE’s)
• Adjustment payroll twice a week
• Relocation quarterly balance adjustments
• Submit State tax payments
• CA & US Payroll review ‐ benefits and taxation
• Customer Service for CA and US by responding to emails and calls
• HSA payroll reconciliation preparation for final review
• Monthly US tax reconciliation/state tax payments
• Quarterly and Year-End State tax filing for Non‐NGM accounts
