Responsibilities
- Performance Insight: Deliver monthly financial results and insights to US Operations Management to optimize labor utilization, cost control, and trading profit.
- Financial Planning: Lead all US Operations budgeting and monthly reforecasting processes in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Cost Management: Oversee standard costing structures and provide detailed variance analysis regarding under/over absorption at the facility level.
- Inventory & Standards: Execute the US inventory reduction plan and manage the annual standard cost update process to ensure completion by the second week of the fiscal year.
- Strategic Advisory: Act as the Finance Business Partner to the Global Manufacturing Director of Americas, providing analysis to drive strategic decision-making.
- Site Oversight: Manage financial relationships across ten operational facilities, with primary focus on the high-volume Pasadena and Morton Grove sites.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor manufacturing and assembly KPIs to drive operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Internal Controls: Ensure all sites maintain robust financial controls, protect manufacturing assets, and comply with Smiths Group policies (spending limits, Capex, etc.).
