Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Close: Lead the close cycle, ensuring GAAP-compliant financial recording.
- GL Ownership: Execute complex journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Reconciliations: Prepare audit-ready balance sheet reconciliations and workpapers.
- Reporting: Assist with monthly financial packages and perform variance analysis.
- Audit Support: Serve as a technical point of contact for external audit inquiries.
- Experience: 3–6 years in Public Accounting (Big 4 or 2nd Tier Audit preferred).
- Skills: "hands-on" GL mechanics and advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs).
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting; CPA or CPA Candidate preferred.
- Availability: Must be able to start immediately and work onsite in Coral Gables.

Responsibilities
- Month-End Close: Lead the monthly close process, ensuring all financial activities are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
- GL Ownership: Execute complex journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions; maintain general ledger integrity.
- Reconciliations: Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations (bank, fixed assets, prepaids) and resolve discrepancies timely.
- Audit Preparation: Leverage public accounting background to prepare audit-ready workpapers and schedules for external auditors.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly financial packages and perform variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) to track performance.
- Fixed Assets: Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation schedules.
- Internal Controls: Ensure all accounting functions adhere to established internal controls and support process improvement initiatives.
- P&L Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis of P&L accounts to ensure proper classification and support departmental budget tracking.
- Technical Support: Provide ad-hoc technical accounting research and data cleanup as required by the finance leadership team.
