An Accounting Clerk is a foundational role responsible for maintaining the day-to-day financial records of a company. This position balances administrative support with technical bookkeeping, ensuring that all financial transactions are captured accurately and organized for the broader accounting team.

salary: $25 - $26 per hour

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable (AP): Processing vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding to the general ledger, and preparing weekly check runs or ACH payments.
  
  
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Generating customer invoices, recording cash receipts, and assisting with collections on overdue accounts.
  
  
• Bank Reconciliations: Matching bank statements with internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  
  
• Data Entry & Filing: Maintaining organized digital and physical filing systems for audits and tax purposes (e.g., W-9s and 1099s).
  
  
• Payroll Support: Assisting with timecard verification and data entry into systems like MUNIS (common in local government/education) or ADP.
