Responsibilities
- Generate and manage purchase orders and change notices through the MRP system to ensure seamless supply availability.
- Evaluate current market trends and delivery variables to forecast material availability and mitigate potential shortages.
- Scrutinize purchase claims and vendor contracts to ensure total alignment with corporate policies and legal standards.
- Proactively resolve delivery bottlenecks and negotiate shipment schedules with vendors and third-party logistics providers via multiple communication channels.
- Conduct on-site audits and performance analyses at vendor locations to maintain high service standards (requires occasional travel).
- Monitor inventory levels with a focus on optimizing cash flow and maintaining high efficiency in a JIT manufacturing environment.
- Develop material requirement reports to accurately project needs for upcoming customer orders.
- Perform comprehensive audits of inventory transactions and JDE processes both internally and at third-party warehouses.
- Lead and support both cyclical and physical inventory counts to ensure data integrity across all systems
- Develop and maintain clear instructions regarding purchasing protocols and procedural systems.
- Actively support the maintenance of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 systems to ensure continuous certification.
- Operate in full compliance with all internal company policies, procedures, and the Associate Handbook.
