Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Support: Assist Project Managers from project award through final close-out. You will manage documentation, retrieve files, and ensure all "action items" are completed by established deadlines.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Create and maintain project schedules. You are responsible for coordinating materials with both in-house teams and external vendors to ensure daily load requests and project scopes are met accurately.
- Technical Documentation: Handle the administrative side of technical work, including Change Order management, submittals, and status updates. You must be able to interpret blueprints and shop drawings to facilitate this.
- Inter-Departmental Liaison: Work "hand-in-hand" with Drafting, Estimating, and the Shop to ensure seamless communication. You will attend and document internal PM meetings, tracking all schedule concerns.
- Client & Site Interaction: Maintain professional relationships with clients to facilitate new sales. You will also be required to visit construction sites in NYC (approx. 10% travel) to oversee project progress.
- Reporting: Regularly update the status of all project activities and ensure the PM maintains accountability for resource management and profitability.
