Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Insurance Logistics
- Facilitate the end-to-end intake process for medical equipment referrals in English and Spanish.
- Conduct real-time insurance eligibility verification and obtain necessary prior authorizations.
- Translate complex benefit information into easy-to-understand terms for patients and their families.
- DME Documentation & Records
- Manage the collection and filing of clinical documentation, including physician orders and CMNs.
- Ensure all Durable Medical Equipment records are audit-ready and meet HIPAA privacy standards.
- Coordinate with the billing department to resolve documentation gaps that could delay reimbursement.
- Fully fluent in Spanish and English (Preferred).
- DME Background: At least 1 year of experience specifically within the Durable Medical Equipment industry.
- Insurance Savvy: Proven ability to navigate payer portals, verify benefits, and understand medical necessity requirements.
- Detail Oriented: High accuracy in data entry and medical record auditing.
