Responsibilities
1. Operational Excellence & Throughput
- Direct all production activities across multiple shifts to ensure the facility hits daily and monthly square-footage targets.
- Optimize the scheduling of corrugators, flexo folder-gluers, and rotary die-cutters to minimize downtime and setup waste.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including MSF (Thousand Square Feet) per hour, waste percentage, and "On-Time In-Full" (OTIF) delivery.
- Partner with the Maintenance Manager to oversee preventative maintenance programs for heavy machinery.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to starch bonding, board warp, and printing registration.
- Oversee the integration of new capital equipment (CapEx) and facility upgrades.
- Ensure all products meet structural integrity standards (Edge Crush Test/Bursting Strength) and aesthetic requirements.
- Maintain a rigorous safety program, ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA standards and internal safety protocols.
- Manage waste reduction initiatives, specifically focusing on "wet end" and "dry end" scrap reduction.
- Lead, mentor, and hold accountable a diverse team of supervisors, machine operators, and floor staff.
- Manage labor costs through effective head-count planning and overtime management.
- Foster a collaborative environment by implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
