We are looking for a detail-oriented I-9 Audit Specialist to join our team for an immediate, short-term project. This role is focused on conducting a comprehensive compliance review of approximately 250 I-9 forms to ensure total accuracy and regulatory alignment. If you have a sharp eye for documentation errors, experience with USCIS compliance standards, and the ability to handle sensitive employee information with total discretion, we want to hear from you today. Responsibilities

• Compliance Review: Conduct a comprehensive audit of approximately 250 Form I-9s to ensure technical and substantive compliance with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regulations.
  
  
• Error Identification & Correction: Identify missing signatures, expired documentation, and incorrect data entry; coordinate the legal "correction" process (e.g., drawing a line through errors, initialing, and dating) without altering original records.
  
  
• Documentation Verification: Cross-reference I-9 forms with provided photocopies of identity and employment authorization documents to ensure consistency and validity.
  
  
• Remediation Tracking: Maintain a detailed log or spreadsheet tracking the status of each file (e.g., "Clear," "Needs Correction," or "Missing") to provide real-time progress reports to the HR Manager.
  
  
• Data Integrity & Privacy: Handle sensitive employee personally identifiable information (PII) with the highest level of confidentiality and in accordance with company data privacy policies.
