As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy of our general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing the reliable data that informs our business decisions.
Essential Functions
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- General Ledger Management: Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation of journal entries and accruals.
- Reconciliations: Conduct timely and thorough reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
- Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed asset ledger, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Audit & Compliance: Support annual audit preparations and ensure all financial activities align with internal controls and regulatory standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance data accuracy.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred.
- Expertise: A solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables) and experience with accounting/ERP software.
- Communication: Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Character: High level of integrity, professional skepticism, and a commitment to meeting strict deadlines.
- Salary Range: $50,000 – $70,000 per year. (Final compensation is highly competitive and will be determined based on the depth of your professional experience and technical expertise.)

Responsibilities
- Must prepare timely and accurate financial statements for multiple facilities.
- Must demonstrate analytical skills to audit various business activities such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll.
- Must assist with annual facility forecast process.
- Must prepare accurate and timely audit packages for annually-audited financials.
- Must communicate financial results with all levels of management.
- Must assist facility business office staff with all accounting functions.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
- Must practice regular and predictable attendance.
- Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and complaint procedures.
