A leading innovator in the industrial distribution sector is seeking a meticulous and reliable Billing Specialist for a 3-6 month contract engagement with their high-performing finance team. This role is vital for maintaining the integrity of the revenue cycle by ensuring all customer transactions are processed with precision and speed during a critical system integration. Reporting directly to the Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between sales operations and financial reporting. Due to the nature of this project, previous experience with AS400 is required to ensure a seamless transition and data accuracy. 

salary: $25 - $26 per hour

Responsibilities

• Invoice Management: Transform sales orders and shipping data into precise customer invoices. 
• Data Verification: Audit billing information to identify and resolve discrepancies before final submission.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Shipping, and Customer Service departments to capture complete billing details.
• Process Maintenance: Manage both electronic and manual invoice distribution while keeping ERP records current.
• Financial Support: Assist with month-end closing tasks, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Issue Resolution: Handle inquiries regarding billing, process credit memos, and manage re-billing requests as necessary.
