The Opportunity Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for navigating complex procurement systems? We are seeking a Contracts Coordinator to join our Global Medical support team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the engine behind our contract execution, transforming approved requests into finalized Purchase Orders (POs) while ensuring absolute financial and procedural accuracy.

Your Impact
- PO Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end process of purchase order requests, from initial entry through generation and final completion.
- Financial Integrity: Ensure all requests are correctly coded and perform rigorous numeric verification to align contract values with PO outputs.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Monitor PO status daily, identifying potential delays and coordinating with business owners and legal teams to resolve issues before they impact timelines.
- Process Compliance: Apply established SOPs and procurement workflows to maintain a high-quality, audit-ready environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact for Global Medical teams, providing updates and ensuring seamless communication across all parties involved in the purchasing cycle.
- The Organizational Expert: You have a proven ability to track multiple activities simultaneously and follow up tenaciously until tasks are complete.
- The Critical Thinker: You don’t just process data; you predict issues, anticipate risks, and solve problems independently.
- The Effective Communicator: You are proficient in English and possess the diplomacy needed to manage differing opinions and navigate change.
- The Technical Learner: You have prior experience with Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) systems and are highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Education: High School diploma with 5+ years of relevant business experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: background in contracts, purchasing processes, and financial account coding.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to learn new software systems quickly and a "team-first" personality.

Responsibilities
• Process contracts requests to generate purchase orders (PO) following defined procedures in support of Global Medical teams
• Follow PO requests from initiation to PO generation, resolving issues as they arise
• Monitor activities related to the PO generation status, including timely follow-up with parties involved to mitigate any delays
• Numeric verification of contract values to PO value
• Knowledge of Takeda’s purchasing systems
• Understand and ability to apply financial account codes to PO requests
• Engage with business owners and all who are involved in the process
• Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned
