As the Operations Manager, you will hold full accountability for day-to-day site performance, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will lead a department and support staff, overseeing critical warehousing, receiving, and shipping functions to meet both client service levels and internal cost objectives.
- Strategic Leadership: Manage labor planning, conduct performance appraisals, and resolve complex operational problems to ensure a high-performing culture.
- Operational Excellence: Responsible for planning inbound/outbound volumes, optimizing space utilization, and ensuring equipment is managed efficiently.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive site-wide improvement efforts, providing suggestions for cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Safety & Quality: Establish a proactive safety culture, ensuring federal and corporate health and safety requirements are met.
- Technical Integration: Ensure the team is proficient in advanced WMS systems and stay informed on emerging technology.
