Are you an assertive, intuitive, and highly organized HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a "pro" to join our team at our manufacturing facility as a Senior Human Resources Coordinator. This isn't your typical administrative role—you will be the operational backbone for a site of 450+ employees, blending high-level HR functions with the grit and maturity required for a unionized manufacturing environment.
The Impact You’ll Make In this role, you are the face of HR at the front desk, serving as a hybrid between a specialized HR Generalist and an Executive Assistant. You’ll handle the "heavy lifting" of workforce management, from tracking attendance and disciplinary actions to facilitating orientations for our newest team members.
- Workforce Logistics: Manage complex recordkeeping, union job bidding, and attendance programs (FMLA, STD, and military leave).
- Onboarding Expert: Lead New Hire Orientations and manage all pre-boarding requirements to ensure a seamless transition for new talent.
- Operational Pro: Support plant leadership with AmEx purchasing, complex travel planning, and facility access/key management.
- Culture Champion: Coordinate plant-wide celebrations, workshops, and community outreach partnerships.
- Systems Specialist: Utilize Kronos and other emerging technologies to track data and manage payroll logistics.
- The Experience: 2+ years of HR or administrative experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- The Mindset: You are assertive, reliable, and possess the maturity to handle sensitive labor relations and disciplinary tracking.
- The Skills: Proficiency in MS Office is a must; experience with Kronos and working in a unionized environment is highly preferred.
- The Drive: You aren't afraid of the unique atmosphere of a dog food factory and can manage numerous competing priorities without breaking a sweat.
- Temp Phase: Up to $26/hr take-home pay.
- The Future: This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Upon transition to a permanent role, you will be eligible for an incredible, industry-leading benefits package.
