We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our Voice Operations team at a premier healthcare facility in Falls Church, VA. This role is critical to the safety and efficiency of hospital operations, serving as the central hub for emergency communications and patient-facing support. Position Overview
- Location: Falls Church, VA (On-site)
- Compensation: $18.00 – $22.50 per hour (based on relevant years of experience)
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week). 10-hour shifts on a rotating schedule and every other weekend.
- Shifts:
- 8am – 6:30pm rotating days and every other weekend
- 9pm - 7:30am rotating days and every other weekend
- Answer and process all emergency calls made to the High Reliability response center. Assess critical patient or security safety events and deploy medical and public safety teams according to strict protocols.
- Collaborate with clinical and security team members to manage resources during complex events. Draft and broadcast advisory alerts over PA and text systems.
- Triage calls from program patients with emergent healthcare needs, following escalation protocols to notify on-call team members.
- Support customer service lines, conduct equipment status checks, and participate in monthly downtime exercises.
- Compile shift reports and provide updates to incoming teams. Assist in coaching and mentoring new team members, serving as a first line of support in the absence of a shift leader.
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver clear instructions under pressure.
- strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and general tech-savviness.
- Ability to absorb multi-directional instructions and execute them quickly and accurately.
- Previous experience with emergency dispatching.
- Patient-facing healthcare experience.
- Experience working night shifts (helpful for understanding 24/7 operations).
The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive 6-week training program on the day shift to ensure full proficiency with hospital protocols:
- Weeks 1–5: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Week 6: Monday – Friday (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
