As a Court Clerk, you are the backbone of our local justice system. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of public records, assisting judges and legal professionals, and providing excellent customer service to the citizens of Rockdale County. Responsibilities
Preforms customer service functions by phone, mail, and in person: Proving information and assistance regarding court activities. Performs administrative tasks: reviews incoming and outgoing documents for completeness and accuracy, processes documents for filing, receive orders for files and records; pulls and delivers requested files and records. Performs data entry in court computer software: scans, indexes and records court case information; audits and reviews data for accuracy. Receives records and prepares receipts for payments of fines, fees, and tickets. Maintains court calendar: schedules dates and times for hearings, motions, and trials; communicates instructions regarding paperwork and court appearance process. Communicates with supervisor, other court employees, attorneys, law enforcement, and the public. Knowledge and Skills Requires the ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize, and analyze data. Requires the ability to provide guidance, and assistance to others regarding the application of procedures and standards to specific situations. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED One year of experience providing admin or clerical support Valid State of Georgia Driver's License Preferred Experience in a judicial or court setting.
