Responsibilities
- Import & Container Tracking: Monitor and trace high-volume inbound container shipments from South American production origins to domestic and global arrival ports.
- Carrier & Provider Liaison: Communicate daily with steamship lines, freight forwarders, and drayage carriers to schedule efficient pickups and deliveries.
- Release Management: Partner directly with the parties responsible for customs clearance and freight releases to ensure timely cargo release and aggressively prevent demurrage and detention fees.
- Inbound & Receiving Coordination: Sync seamlessly with our warehouse operations team to schedule inbound delivery appointments, ensuring the receiving crew is primed for incoming inventory.
- Data & Logistics Tracking: Maintain and update our core inbound logistics trackers using Excel to ensure company-wide visibility on shipment statuses.
