Responsibilities
Position Summary: Join a dynamic team supporting a high-volume Wholesale Lockbox Department. You will handle the daily opening, processing, rejecting, and re-associating of incoming mail payments for retail and healthcare accounts. This production-driven role requires strict focus to achieve key service level agreement goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open envelopes, review customer instructions, and accurately process or reject incoming mail.
- Negotiate checks via a 5-step process: verify payees, dollar amounts, MICR lines, and restrictive notations.
- Stamp batches with your processor ID, validate payees, and number checks with back-up documents.
- Electronically attach check images to the correct back-up documentation and prepare batches for mail-out.
- Assist in researching personal errors and meet strict daily mail-out deadlines.
- Must be 18+ years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 to 3 years of lockbox or related clerical production experience.
- Basic skills utilizing a computer, telephone, and adding machine.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- High attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Ability to meet physical demands: repetitive hand use, prolonged sitting/standing, bending, and lifting.
- Flexibility to work overtime and holidays as needed until the daily workload is complete.
