Randstad has an immediate need for an Accounts Receivable professional for a temp-to-hire opportunity in the Northern Chicago Suburbs. This role supports a high-volume B2B accounts receivable function and is ideal for someone with experience in collections, cash application, account reconciliations, and customer account management. The successful candidate will bring solid Excel skills, ERP experience, and the ability to communicate professionally with both customers and internal stakeholders.
Working closely with the Accounts Receivable lead, this individual will help manage a $30M+ receivables portfolio while supporting collections, cash posting, dispute resolution, aging analysis, and month-end close activities.
The ideal candidate comes from a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or similar high-volume environment and has experience managing large customer portfolios while balancing collections responsibilities with outstanding customer service. Responsibilities
- 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience in a high-volume environment
- Experience with cash posting, cash application, payment processing, and account reconciliations
- Experience supporting month-end close activities, including aging reviews, account reconciliations, and AR reporting
- Proven B2B collections experience, including customer outreach, payment follow-up, and delinquent account resolution
- Expertise in accounts receivable processes, customer account maintenance, and dispute resolution
- Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filtering, and data analysis
- Solid attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset
- Experience working within SAP S/4HANA
- Experience supporting monthly financial reporting and cash flow management activities
- Experience researching unapplied cash, short payments, deductions, and account discrepancies
- Manufacturing, distribution, transportation, or B2B environment experience preferred
