Responsibilities
- Provide expert product guidance on flooring supplies, installation materials, tools, and accessories (including brands like Schluter®, TEC®, Taylor, Tarkett, PROFLEX®, and FORPAC®).
- Process customer orders, invoices, and payments accurately through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Check stock availability, provide price quotes, and coordinate with the warehouse team for order fulfillment.
- Build and maintain a good , lasting relationships with local contractors to encourage repeat business.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked counter and showroom area.
- Experience: Previous retail or counter sales experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience selling flooring materials, tile supplies, or general construction/building materials is highly preferred.
- Transitioning Installers Welcome: Former flooring installers or individuals with hands-on floor installation experience who are eager to pivot into a professional sales environment are highly encouraged to apply!
- Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Basic computer literacy for processing orders is necessary.
- Reliability: A dependable, team-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain the 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM schedule.
