- Minimum 2–3 years of medical billing experience with an A/R focus
- Proven experience handling insurance denials and appeals
- Hands-on experience with Epic billing system (required)
- Problem solving and organizational skills
- Prefer someone that has worked in a high volume billing environment
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payer requirements

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive A/R follow-up on insurance and patient balances
- Review, research, and resolve denied or rejected claims in a timely manner
- Identify root causes of denials and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Submit corrected claims, appeals, and supporting documentation as needed
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status, payment discrepancies, and resolution of issues
- Ensure accurate documentation of all account activity in the billing system
- Collaborate with billing team to resolve issues
- Maintain compliance with payer guidelines and billing regulations
- Cross-trained in the other billing functions and assist the department as needed.
