This is a unique opportunity for a public accounting veteran looking to step away from the grueling, high-volume compliance grind and transition into a holistic, wealth-advisory relationship model supporting high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, families, trusts, estates, charitable foundations, and corporate retirement plans.

Responsibilities
1. Advanced Tax Strategy & Advisory (60%)
• HNW & Ultra-HNW Planning: Analyze complex financial profiles of affluent individuals, multi-generational families, estates, and trusts to minimize lifetime tax exposure.
• Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Partner directly with Portfolio Managers to optimize tax-loss harvesting, asset location, stock option executions (ISOs/NSOs), and concentrated equity monetization.
• Estate & Trust Navigation: Guide clients through generation-skipping transfer taxes, the step-up in basis rules, and the tax implications of various trust structures (GRATs, SLATs, ILITs).
• Philanthropic Structuring: Advise clients on tax-efficient charitable giving vehicles, including Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), Charitable Remainder/Lead Trusts (CRUTs/CLATs), and private foundations.
2. Compliance, Oversight & Review (25%)
• High-Level Review: Oversee the technical prep and final review of complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, gift tax (Form 709), trusts/estates (Form 1041), and closely-held business entities.
• IRS/State Representation: Manage any audit notices, tax authority correspondence, or complex regulatory compliance inquiries on behalf of the firm’s clients.
3. Client Relationship Management (15%)
• Client Interface: Lead proactive, year-round "tax-reduction" planning meetings with clients to discuss quarterly projections, withholding adjustments, and year-end strategies.
