Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Plant Accountant / Financial Analyst with strong analytical skills and a sound knowledge of the General Ledger (GL). In this role, you will play a critical part in month-end consolidation, fixed asset management, and inventory control. You will collaborate across departments to resolve financial discrepancies, optimize processes, and provide key insights to the Finance Manager and General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit & Fixed Assets: Assist in the audit process. Review and audit quarterly fixed assets for additions, true-ups, retirements, and ensure the overall accurate maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
- Inventory & Cost Accounting: Perform monthly balancing of inventories (board, WIP, finished goods, supplies, and intercompany charges). Assist with physical inventories and monitor raw materials/finished goods, reporting findings directly to leadership. Review and analyze job costing reports and explain variances.
- Month-End & Financial Analysis: Assist with the month-end consolidation process. Analyze financials for significant fluctuations, ensure proper reporting presentations, and problem-solve discrepancies. Coordinate with corporate departments to deliver monthly financial data.
- Operations & Collaboration: Partner with AP/AR and production to correct errors, ensure proper timing/revenue recognition compliance, and approve monthly AP accruals. Assist department managers with data input, monthly KPI reporting, and working capital management.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with teams to create a pipeline for Margin Enhancement projects and support the implementation of new consolidation tools.
- strong knowledge and understanding of General Ledger (GL) practices.
- Robust analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail.
- Proficiency in computer applications, specifically MS Office and Advanced Excel.

Responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Assist in audit process
