Position Overview Randstad is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Project Manager to serve as the on-site leader for our upcoming projects in Urbandale, Iowa with our building technology client. Under general direction, you will plan, execute, and complete projects for assigned customers safely, ethically, and cost-effectively.
Qualifications
- A Technical Associate Degree combined with at least four (4) years of industry field experience.
- At least six (6) years of equivalent related field experience in the HVAC controls industry.
- Advanced understanding of HVAC control systems, hardware design, and network commissioning.
- Proven ability to manage project finances, billings, and change orders.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Act as the primary on-site leader to ensure projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Technical Execution: Perform or delegate critical project tasks, including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system/network commissioning, and final closeout.
- Financial Management: Take full accountability for project financial results, including managing costs, project billings, collections, and actively pursuing/selling change orders.
- Team Coordination: Provide clear work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administrative staff.
- Customer Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for the customer across all project phases and manage the proper execution of warranties.
- Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all work complies with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), as well as Local, State, and Federal legal requirements, while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
