Responsibilities
- Client Intake & Communication: Serve as the first point of contact for injured workers, gathering accident details and providing regular case updates.
- Medical Records Management: Request, track, and organize comprehensive medical records and billing statements from healthcare providers to build case files.
- State & Electronic Filings: Prepare and electronically file motions, pleadings, and applications via the Kentucky Department of Workers' Claims (DWC) portal.
- Calendar & Deadline Tracking: Schedule depositions, independent medical exams (IMEs), hearings, and conferences while monitoring strict statutory deadlines.
- Drafting Correspondence: Write initial drafts of routine legal documents, including representation notices, transmittal letters, and client contracts.
- Case File Administration: Maintain digital and physical files within the firm’s case management software, ensuring all incoming mail and evidence are organized.
