Responsibilities
- Handle daily data entry, classification of expenses, and general ledger maintenance for a diverse slate of client businesses.
- Process vendor invoices, handle bill payments, issue client invoices, and record deposits.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card statements, and payment merchant accounts (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Process journal entries, track fixed assets, record depreciation schedules, and prepare trial balances.
- Generate accurate monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for management review and client presentation.
- Serve as the primary internal contact for our firm's tax accountants during busy season
- Other misc. duties, tasks or projects as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.
- Prior experience working within a CPA firm or managing an outsourced/multi-client environment is highly preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a plus, not a must.
- 2+ years experience with QuickBooks Online & QuickBooks Desktop.
- Intermediate capability in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to multi-task, pivot between entirely different client industries daily, and strictly meet rigid financial deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to directly advise business owners regarding their day-to-day data.
- Dependable, highly organized with a high attention-to-detail.
