Our Client, a premier, multi-hospital academic health system dedicated to improving the health and well-being of communities across central Pennsylvania is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cash Posting Specialist to join our financial team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely entry and reconciliation of all incoming payments. Role Details
- Location: Hershey, PA (Onsite)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $20 - $21/hour
- Payment Entry: Accurately post daily payments, rejections, and adjustments from insurance carriers (ERAs/EOBs) and patients to accounts.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile daily cash receipts and electronic deposits against bank statements.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies, underpayments, or misapplied funds.
- Batch Balancing: Close and balance payment batches daily within the billing system.
- Collaboration: Partner with the billing and accounts receivable teams to address outstanding payment issues.
- 2 years’ experience in cash posting, medical billing, accounts receivable, or data entry is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in data entry with a high level of mathematical accuracy.
- Familiarity with explanations of benefits (EOBs) and electronic remittance advices (ERAs) is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized billing or EHR software.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet daily deadlines
