Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing, including Brix, viscosity, pH, and other quality control analyses.
- Collect, prepare, label, and maintain product and raw material samples.
- Accurately weigh and measure raw ingredients according to formulas and batch specifications.
- Mix ingredients for laboratory trials, product development, and quality evaluations.
- Assist with and eventually perform small-scale cooking and batch preparation following established formulations and procedures.
- Record, review, and maintain accurate laboratory data, test results, and batch documentation.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, cleaned, and maintained.
- Monitor product consistency and identify quality concerns, reporting findings to management.
- Lead daily laboratory activities by assigning work, training team members, and ensuring testing is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain compliance with all food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with process improvements, new product development, and special projects as assigned.
