About the Role Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about the residential construction industry? We are seeking a Preconstruction Coordinator to join our team in the Chicago-land area.
In this vital role, you will serve as the bridge between sales and production, ensuring that every bathroom remodeling project is flawless, accurate, and ready for a smooth installation. You will validate scopes of work, double-check measurements, order materials, and ensure our field teams have everything they need to succeed before the first hammer swings.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in residential bathroom remodeling, construction, or construction project coordination is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction scopes, floor plans, measurements, and installation drawings.
- Industry Knowledge: familiarity with bathroom remodeling products, materials, and standard installation practices.
- Software: Proficiency with CRM systems, cloud-based project management software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with both internal teams and homeowners.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Project Validation: Review and verify all salesperson scopes of work, project photos, field measurements, and site documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and constructability.
- Material & Layout Management: Confirm all required materials, fixtures, layouts, and accessories are accurate. Create and process material orders ensuring full compatibility with the approved project scope.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with sales, production, scheduling, and installation teams to seamlessly transition projects from the contract phase to active construction.
- Data Integrity: Update and maintain real-time project information within the CRM, including notes, photos, and project milestones.
- Customer Care: Act as a main point of contact for homeowners, communicating project preparation steps, managing schedules, and providing exceptional customer service to resolve any pre-construction issues.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential field conflicts, missing information, or necessary change orders before projects are released to the field. Ensure all permits and approvals are secured.
