Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries; maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  
  
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  
  
• Assist in the closing process by preparing accruals, deferrals, and adjusting entries to meet strict reporting deadlines.
  
  
• Support the compilation of monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with GAAP.
  
  
• Oversee or assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring accurate vendor payments and customer billing.
  
  
• Analyze financial data and compare actual expenditures against budgets to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control.
  
  
• Assist with the preparation of local, state, and federal tax filings; organize documentation and schedules for internal and external auditors.
  
  
• Maintain fixed asset schedules, calculate monthly depreciation, and support regular inventory valuations.
