What We're Looking For
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of procurement and inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Regulatory Background: Prior experience operating in an FDA-regulated or medical device manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: hands-on experience with MRP / ERP systems and inventory management tools.
- Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Business, relevant Purchasing/Supply Chain certification (e.g., APICS/CPIM/CSCP), or equivalent practical experience.
- Core Competencies: Proven negotiation skills across multiple commodity types, attention to detail, and excellent vendor relationship management.
- Standard professional office environment with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor and warehouse area.

Responsibilities
- Materials & Inventory Planning: Utilize MRP/ERP systems and inventory data to manage demand, determine material requirements, and maintain optimal stocking levels for low-volume, high-mix products.
- Supplier Management & Sourcing: Source, qualify, and manage suppliers for existing and new product introductions; track supplier performance via vendor scorecards to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
- Kanban & Logistics Execution: Oversee inventory programs (including weekly Kanban counts) to maintain continuous shop-floor flow. Coordinate container load scheduling, Inter-Branch Transfers (IBTs), and shortage tracking.
- Procurement Operations: Place purchase orders for raw materials, components, and MRO supplies. Manage purchase records, credit applications for new vendors, and expense reconciliations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to support new product rollouts, continuous quality initiatives, and uninterrupted production.
