Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Generates, processes, and maintains provider and member correspondence for preservice and concurrent reviews. Ensures correspondence tasks are processed in a timely, compliant manner according to regulatory standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate denial and approval correspondence from EMR documentation within tight regulatory deadlines.
- Maintain minimum production metrics of 4 denial letters or 6–7 approval letters per hour post-training.
- Update and maintain correspondence templates based on regulatory and interdepartmental inquiries.
- Coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting activities that impact the denial process.
- Maintain compliance and turn-around time (TAT) logs for all correspondence notifications.
- High School Diploma or GED; medical terminology knowledge required.
- 1+ years of experience processing healthcare denial management systems (claims, correspondence, appeals tracking).
- Typing speed of 60 WPM at 95% accuracy and computer literacy in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneNote).
- strong multi-tasking abilities, adaptability, and high attention to detail.
