Role Overview
A Westchester-based organization is seeking a proactive Payroll & Human Resources professional to manage end-to-end payroll processing and HR administration. This individual will handle day-to-day operations, evaluate existing processes, and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (HR/related field preferred) + 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: ADP Workforce Now, Excel, and Word.
- Knowledge: Understanding of HR, federal, state, and local labor/tax laws.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration: Process weekly payroll, manage subcontractor labor records, handle wage deductions/garnishments, import JEs, track PTO, and process wage verifications. Ensure strict federal, state, and local compliance.
- HR & Benefits: Lead onboarding/offboarding, handle COBRA, produce ad-hoc ADP reports, and manage annual benefit renewals. Ensure compliance reporting (401k, Workers' Comp, NYS Disability/PFL, ACA, EEO-1, 5500).
- Employee Relations & Operations: Serve as a point of contact for policy guidance and employee events. Assist managers with recruiting and general office administration as needed.
