Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Handle incoming calls from patients, doctors' offices, and pharmacies with empathy and accuracy
- Schedule medical appointments, assist with referral requests, and review general care instructions
- Guide callers through patient portal access, billing questions, and basic insurance coverage details
- Accurately document medical histories, patient concerns, and call details in electronic health records
- Route clinical questions to nurses, doctors, or specific departments using appropriate protocols
- Maintain strict patient privacy and adherence to HIPAA standards on every call
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, such as a doctor's office, clinic, medical billing, or healthcare call center
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology, scheduling systems, and patient privacy laws
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, dedicated home office setup
- Competitive hourly pay starting at $18.00 to $20.00 depending on healthcare experience
- Paid training covering company-specific tools and systems
- All necessary computer equipment, including a laptop and headset, provided to you
