Responsibilities
- Primary Contact: Act as the main liaison between customer purchasing and engineering teams, maintaining high standards of professionalism.
- Account Growth: Partner with Business Development Managers to nurture existing relationships, identify new business opportunities, and conduct on-site client visits.
- New Business Outreach: Perform targeted cold calling within the designated branch territory to expand the client base.
- Order & Quote Management: Process sales orders, generate quotes, and track order statuses to keep customers promptly informed.
- Quote & Sample Follow-Up: Proactively follow up on open quotes, sample requests, and ongoing orders.
- Accounting Coordination: Resolve past-due invoices alongside the Inside Sales Manager and Accounting team.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock availability, initiate transfers, and place purchase orders to fulfill client needs while taking accountability for ordered stock.
- Shipping & Returns Resolution: Manage issues with shipments (missing slips, wrong items, short shipments) and process customer returns (CSIs/RTVs).
- On-Time Delivery: Audit open sales and purchase orders regularly to ensure timely customer fulfillment.
- Stock Solutions: Drive Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) initiatives, such as Visual Inventory (VI) and bin stock setups.
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with Engineering, Quality Control, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Accounting to resolve client inquiries.
