Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
- Experience: 5 to 8+ years of progressive tax accounting experience. Public accounting or specialized industry experience is a plus.
- Certifications: CPA designation or active progress toward CPA licensure strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations; proficiency with tax research tools and financial reporting systems.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, high discretion with sensitive data, and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
- ax Return Preparation & Filing: Prepare and submit complex federal, state, and local tax filings across corporate, partnership, individual, operational, and specialized compliance categories.
- Book-to-Tax Conversions: Analyze organizational financial statements to convert book-basis accounting data into tax-basis reporting and resolve reporting variances.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Serve as the primary liaison to external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies, while monitoring changing legislation to maintain organizational compliance.
- Tax Planning & Research: Perform technical tax research, evaluate organizational tax positions, and assist leadership in implementing strategies to optimize efficiency.
