Our automotive parts manufacturing client in NE Georgia seeks very specific experience for their fast-paced manufacturing environment. They seek an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Shift Supervisor to lead a large team, driving operational excellence, and helping build a positive, growth-focused culture on the shop floor. A minimum of three years Plastic Injection Molding Setup and Operation experience in an automotive production/manufacturing environment is required - NON-NEGOTIABLE.

What You’ll Do
- Lead & Inspire: Manage and mentor direct and indirect shop-floor associates, fostering team growth, open communication, and a collaborative spirit.
- Master the Process: Oversee daily injection molding operations, machine setups, and parameter controls to keep production running smoothly.
- Drive Quality & Efficiency: Ensure cycle times, packaging specs, and quality standards are consistently met while maximizing throughput and minimizing waste.
- Problem-Solve: Use structured root-cause analysis to troubleshoot process issues, maintain 5S standards, and keep efficiency metrics high.
- Train & Develop: Coach operators on system procedures, safety guidelines, and best practices to set every team member up for success.
- Keep Operations Connected: Manage daily shift reports, track labor utilization, and work closely with senior leadership to keep performance aligned with plant goals.
- Industry Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on automotive plastic injection molding experience.
- Leadership Experience: 5+ years in a supervisory role with a proven track record of managing associates, equipment, and materials effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the natural ability to give clear direction and collaborate across departments.
- Technical & Analytical Mindset: proven problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and a self-motivated drive to continuously improve floor operations.
- Reliability: Excellent attendance record and the flexibility to work overtime when needed to support production goals.

salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises minimum team of 45 and coordinates injection molding processes including machine set-ups and operations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to give direction and lead others; to take action as necessary in line with company procedures and guidelines
- Manage direct and indirect associates, equipment, and materials to achieve the highest level of quality and productivity at minimum cost
- Ensure that all products are manufactured to process standards, including cycle times, quality standards, packaging requirements.
- Develop team members and culture
- Responsible for daily shift reporting and documentation
- Control efficiency, utilization, and effectiveness of the labor within departments
- Ability to use problem solving skills and engage in problem solving activities
- Capable of training operators in the relevant systems and procedures
- Excellent attendance and the ability to work overtime
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to consult and coordinate with the management team, communicating all necessary information
- Maintain and improve 5s on production floor
- Detail oriented and self-motivated with desire to succeed
- Minimum 5 or more years of supervisory experience
