Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Manage patient accounts, verify insurance coverage, resolve payer or pharmacy issues, and guide patients through every step of their request for medical assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calls to patients to confirm benefit coverage, co-pays, and specialty pharmacy details.
- Contact insurance carriers to obtain and log accurate benefit information.
- Resolve complex payer and pharmacy issues to secure positive coverage outcomes.
- Document detailed information into proprietary software while speaking with customers.
- Research alternative funding and foundation programs to determine patient eligibility.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of healthcare, pharmacy benefits management, or prior authorization experience.
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with strong accuracy while on calls.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and video conferencing tools (Zoom, MS Teams).
- Dedicated, private home workspace with hardwired high-speed internet (15 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload).
