Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, coach, and develop accounting staff while fostering team accountability and a positive environment.
- Financial Operations: Oversee AR, AP, General Ledger, bank reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and journal entries.
- Reporting & Close: Drive the month-end close process, perform account reconciliations, and draft financial reports for management.
- Process Improvement: Identify accounting discrepancies, resolve root causes, and create or streamline internal controls and documentation.
- System Optimization: Work with integrated business tools, ERP platforms, and third-party software to keep operations running smoothly.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership, supervision, or mentoring roles.
- Core Accounting Knowledge: grasp of GL, AR, AP, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP/accounting software required (NetSuite preferred). Familiarity with e-commerce, tax software, and payment processor integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial information. This position will supervise accounting processes and personnel, assist with month-end close and financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and work closely with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Inventory, Customer Service, and Management.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who can manage people, understand the details, identify problems, and take ownership of getting them resolved.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Previous experience supervising, leading, or mentoring accounting staff.
