Responsibilities
- Support production activities within the Slurry Department for aerospace components.
- Apply masking techniques and assist with blending, mixing, and storing wet/dry powders and liquids.
- Apply specialized coatings to turbine engine components and rocket thrusters.
- Assist with vacuum furnace operations in compliance with AMS2750 standards.
- Manage the flow of hardware in and out of the production floor.
- Perform in-process inspections and ensure proper batching of materials.
- Prepare hardware for coating, final inspection, and shipment.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and monitor furnace lead-up rates and dew points.
- Assist with instrument surveys (TUS/SAT) and proper loading and fixturing of parts.
- Perform measurements using micrometers, scales, eddy current equipment, and other tools.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required travelers for all activities.
- Assist with cleaning processes such as grit blasting and degreasing.
- Follow direction, maintain attention to detail, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
