Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Select and install proper cylinders, plates, and dyes. Mix and load inks to match specific color requirements (PMS standards).
- Process Monitoring: Oversee the printing run to ensure proper ink coverage, registration, and alignment on various substrates.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular visual inspections and measurements to ensure print clarity and adherence to branding guidelines. Identify and correct defects immediately.
- Preventative Maintenance: Clean plates and rollers; perform routine lubrication and minor mechanical adjustments to ensure machine dependability.
- Material Handling: Load raw material rolls onto the press and manage the rewinding process of finished goods.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Press Assistant to ensure efficient changeovers and minimize downtime.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement ways to improve cycle times, reduce scrap/waste, and enhance overall safety.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) and the use of proper PPE.
