Responsibilities
The Quality Control Inspector ensures painted and plated metal components meet strict customer specifications and industry standards. You will perform visual, mechanical, and chemical inspections across all production stages—from receiving to final release—to identify defects and maintain the integrity of our finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct visual inspections and technical testing (adhesion, chemical, and destructive) on plated and painted parts.
- Measurement: Utilize Eddy Current equipment for coating thickness testing and other non-contact measurement instruments.
- Technical Review: Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and painting specifications to verify compliance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate inspection records; identify, document, and route non-conforming materials for rework.
- Process Oversight: Execute First Article, Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection procedures within an AS9100 framework.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in electroplating and QC inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with inspection tools and computerized data entry/reporting.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of quality documentation, NADCAP and AS9100 standards.
- Physical Environment: Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with moderate noise and occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, or caustic chemicals.
