Responsibilities
Machine Operator (Waterjet Focus)
Role Overview
Primary responsibility is operating and programming a Waterjet for metal fabrication. You will also set up and run various CNC and manual fabrication machines to fulfill orders based on BOMs and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming & Setup: Use software to create/modify 2D drawings; program and operate CNC laser and Waterjet machines.
- Fabrication: Assemble orders using presses, sanders, and saws (Milling, Brake, Drill, and Band saws).
- Quality Control: Perform self-audits and quality checks at specified production points to ensure high accuracy.
- Maintenance: Ensure optimal machine performance and strictly adhere to safety standards.
- Technical: strong math and geometry skills; ability to read/interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
- Tooling: Proficient with hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
- CNC Knowledge: Experience writing, reading, and editing CNC programming (Salvagnini laser experience is a plus).
- Soft Skills: strong attention to detail, time management, and a sense of urgency.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Must follow written work instructions in English.
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
- Machinery Experience: Milling Machine (Bridgeport), Waterjet, and various presses/saws.
