maintenance technician.

Randstad is looking for a first shift maintenance technician for a manufacturing company on Jacksonville's Southside. You will work Monday through Friday with weekends as required. You will perform preventive maintenance, and daily changeovers, fabricate, modify, and rebuild parts as required.  A minimum of 3 years of electrical and mechanical experience will be required. 

salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Perform daily machine change overs, as required by production.
• Fabricate, modify, build and re-build machinery and equipment parts and molds to ensure proper and efficient operation.
• Operate small equipment (forklifts and man lifts).
• Inventory assistnace. 
• Work with Engineering on machinery and equipment issues.
• Perform and document machine and equipment Preventive Maintenance.
• Perform electrical, plumbing and facility maintenance, as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment.
• Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
• Repairing building structures which may include minor construction projects.
• Determine functionality of parts by inspection using test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, mechanical and pneumatic components and systems.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 6 hours at one time
